The Shire of Woodanilling presents awards at the Australia Day Breakfast hosted by the Shire of Woodanilling Councillors every year on 26 January.
Citizen of the Year Awards
Do you know someone who made the community a better place in 2023?
The Community Citizen of the Year Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge those making an outstanding contribution to your local community during the current year (2023).
Nominations can be made for contributions/community service to education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment, social inclusion or any other area that contributes to the advancement and wellbeing of a community
Nominations are for the following Citizen of the Year Award categories:
Community Citizen of the Year (Youth)
Community Citizen of the Year (Senior)
Active Citizenship (Group or Event)
Shire of Woodanilling Sports Star of the Year (Youth)
Shire of Woodanilling Sports Star of the Year (Senior)
Long Service Award Senior

Community Long Service Award
The Shire of Woodanilling has a Community Long Service Award. This is an award that recognises a local person who has provided volunteer service(s) to the community over a long period of time.
The winner of the award will be announced at the Australia Day Breakfast on 26 January 2024 alongside the Citizen of the Year Awards.
