Round Pool to Woodanilling Book reprint now available

Since the first edition was published, some alterations were submitted over the years to the shire office for correction and these have been incorporated in this reprint. Other requests for corrections have also been notated in the book.

The book is an account of the shire’s history from early settlement until the present day. It is not only a history of the people who pioneered the agricultural pursuits of the region but is also a social history of a handful of pioneering young families. When reading the “Round Pool to Woondanilling”, readers will find much to absorb them in the in-depth coverage of early exploration, the land grant railway, the role of family and the local indigenous population, all of which are typical of the development of many parts of the infant colony of Western Australia in the early 1800s.
